ISOLATED FROM A PETROL PUMP

There are quite a few sites in the United Kingdom which have a petrol pump located located far off by many a kilometers. There have been many a cases of drivers and motorists running out of fuels at these “black spots”. Now it can prove to be a hurdle all the more, if a person is in a hurry and happens to be passing from these isolated spots which don’t have a petrol pump for miles and miles.

Running out of fuel on such areas can be a big nightmare come true and nothing short of it. A breakdown organization Britannia Rescue has compiled together a list of these many "blackspots". The areas include Blackpool Gate Hamlet located in Cumbria, Kielder Water in Northumberland, Brianne Reservoir in mid-Wales and Derwent Reservoir in Derbyshire.

These places although far away from the daily chaotic hum drum of a city still see great number of tourist and travelers frequenting. These spots are a good 12 miles away from the petrol pumps. While there is one that simply breaks the records and stands out. This is Loch Quoich which is located at the Scottish Highlands. At about a good twenty six miles from the closest petrol pump, any motorcyclist or driver in a car whose wheeled machine comes to a halt here will be left asking for a lot, lot more.

Interestingly, a massive 700,000 drivers and 40% of motorists have experienced a break down and going empty on fuel at these areas in the past six months itself. Add to this, the current difficult times which have resulted in most of them travelling on minimal fuel, searching for cheap fuel or driving slow. None the less, one may simply not deny the fact that getting stranded on such spots can actually lead to serious difficulties or even dangerous and unfortunate situations for that matter.
